more discreet and easy to clean.
A custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you! These aligners are made from a smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible acrylic that you wear over top of your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movement prescribed by Dr. Kuppers. You simply wear a new aligner every two to three weeks or until your treatment is complete.
Orthognathic surgery can be life altering. It can improve your ability to chew, speak and breathe. What’s more, it can improve facial appearances. But, orthognathic surgery isn’t for everyone; it is typically reserved for patients with a skeletal discrepancy. With the help
of an oral surgeon, Dr. Kuppers will review and assess the patient’s needs and develop a detailed treatment plan that consists of braces
to align the teeth, followed by jaw surgery to appropriately align the jaws.
Attached to your braces, elastics (rubber bands) exert the proper force that creates the right amount of pressure to move teeth
and/or jaws into correct alignment.
The Forsus appliance is used in overbite correction. Composed of a spring coil rod, the appliance is used while the patient
is currently wearing braces.
A tongue crib appliance aids in the correction and elimination of tongue thrusting and digit sucking habits.
Headgear is often used to correct an excessive overbite; more commonly used on a preadolescent patient.
Rapid Palatal Expander (RPE)
The RPE appliance widens the upper jaw and allows for the creation of space for the eruption of permanent teeth
and/or the correction of a crossbite.
The Spring Aligner is a custom made removable appliance. It is very effective in aligning mildly crowded front teeth
or correcting an anterior crossbite.
