Meet Dr. Kuppers

Dr. Kuppers is an orthodontic specialist. At Kuppers orthodontics, we’re experts at what we do and we are not afraid to say it! Unlike other offices, our team is uniquely dedicated to orthodontics. It’s our specialty!


Dr. Kuppers has been delivering quality care and setting the standard for orthodontic excellence in Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding community since 1996. He is proud to live in, work in and support this community.


Dr. Kuppers pairs advanced techniques and treatment options with traditional hands-on care which provides an unparalleled level of service. His passion for orthodontics and commitment to exemplary service can be found in every smile he designs.


Dr. Kuppers is a respected professional and valued associate. When he is not working or studying, he enjoys spending time with family, friends and his French bulldog, Calvin. His hobbies include travelling, weight training, gourmet cooking, reading and staying active.




Dr. Kuppers graduated from the University of Western Ontario as a general dentist in 1988. As a native of Kitchener-Waterloo, he returned to this community where he successfully practiced family dentistry for more than 5 years.


In 1993, his passion for academics and desire for professional development led him back to the University of Western Ontario, to pursue an Orthodontic specialty. In 1996, Dr. Kuppers graduated with a Master’s Degree in orthodontics and once again returned home to service the community he valued most.


Dr. Kuppers is a current member with the Ontario Association of Orthodontists, the Ontario Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics and is licensed by the Royal College of Dentists of Ontario. Throughout his career,
Dr. Kuppers has received numerous accolades for his service and achievements in his specialty of Orthodontics.


Dr. Kuppers is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Ontario in the faculty of Dentistry: Department of Orthodontics. As a clinical instructor, Dr. Kuppers has a unique opportunity to share his knowledge and love of orthodontics with the students he teaches while working with his esteemed colleagues to advance the orthodontic profession.

Dr. Kuppers prides himself on staying current with what’s new in orthodontics; attending professional seminars, courses and conferences. He also attends study clubs with valued colleagues from both Canada and the United States. Dr. Kuppers is on the leading edge of Orthodontic technology. Community Outreach

As a long-time resident of Kitchener-Waterloo and a proud member of the community,
Dr. Kuppers loves to give back.


    • Dr. Kuppers offers scholarships to four local Waterloo high schools for
      students who excel in Biology and hope to continue their post-secondary education in the dental field. Bluevale Collegiate Institute, Resurrection
      Catholic Secondary, Waterloo Collegiate Institute and Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary are the recipients of these scholarships.


    • Dr. Kuppers offers complimentary family swims and public ice skating
      throughout the year at Waterloo Memorial Recreation Swimplex, RIM Park Sportsplex and Moses Springer Community Centre.


    • Dr. Kuppers supports The Food Bank of Waterloo Region and the
      Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society.


  • Dr. Kuppers and his team proudly fund raise and support
    Operation Smile a medical charity providing free cleft surgeries
    and related care for children in the developing world.
